James Tilley set AFC Wimbledon on course for a 3-0 win over Morecambe and maintained their perfect home form in Sky Bet League Two.

Tilley made the breakthrough early in the second half before Omar Bugiel and Matty Stevens completed the win which moved the Dons to within two places of the play-off places with three games in hand on many of their rivals.

The home side initially struggled to find a way through against a Morecambe side, who came into the game rooted at the foot of the division.

But Tilley served a warning of the threat that was to come when he tested visiting goalkeeper Stuart Moore shortly before the interval.

The Wimbledon forward went one better seven minutes after the restart when he stunned Moore with a well-taken finish after advancing from inside his own half.

Bugiel put the home side firmly in control when he doubled the lead in the 66th minute after turning home from Callum Maycock’s cross.

Stevens completed a comfortable victory four minutes later when he finished after being set up by Josh Neufville.
