Alex Reid’s brace boosted Wealdstone to back-to-back victories as Vanarama National League play-off challengers Forest Green went down 2-1 at Grosvenor Vale.

Rovers swarmed all over their hosts from the off and, after Adam May hit the bar with a free-kick, Jordon Garrick drove inside from the left and found the bottom corner in the 18th minute.

Reid ensured the scores were level heading into half-time, however, as he converted a 41st-minute penalty following a handball in the box.

Neither side could get a full grip on proceedings when play resumed until, nine minutes from time, Reid fired in his 16th league goal of the season to win it for Wealdstone.
