Burton interim boss Tom Hounsell declared himself satisfied after watching his relegation-threatened side grind out a 0-0 draw at Leyton Orient.
The Brewers have won just once in their last seven matches in all competitions and have failed to score in six of their last eight league games, but a second successive away clean sheet earned them a point at Brisbane Road.
Both teams were guilty of a series of wasteful passes and neither side could find the route to break down well-drilled defences.
“I’m really pleased we have come away from home and picked up a point,” Hounsell said. “It’s another clean sheet and it was a another performance we can be proud of.
“If I’m being hyper-critical I think we can probably be better in our turnover moments, but we’ll carry on working towards that aspect as it’s important we continue to carry a threat on the last line.
“Otherwise, I thought we were outstanding, particularly when we didn’t have the ball. Jason Sraha in particular put in a big performance and was outstanding, so full credit to him as he’s been out the team for the majority of this season.
“We’ve had a number of clean sheets now and the players have shown they’re willing to roll their sleeves up and fight and a lot of that is down to getting their head down and working hard every day.
“We showed we can compete with one of the league’s best teams last week in Wrexham (a 1-0 defeat) and today we’ve put in another good performance which is full testament to the players.”
Orient have not conceded a goal in their last four matches and have now kept clean sheets in six of their last eight games.
Boss Richie Wellens stated: “We could have won the game and we could have lost it.
“We had better chances than Burton and obviously more possession. They came here to frustrate and slow the game down, but we were off it and our passing wasn’t as crisp.
“All in all, it’s been a bit of a frustrating day and a bit pedestrian at times but it’s another clean sheet and positive performance so we just have to take it and move on to the next week.
“I thought our substitutions made an impact and thought we were the only team trying to win the game but it just didn’t drop for us and we didn’t show enough quality.
“Josh Keeley has done well since he’s come into team and we’ve had a consistent back four recently but there is competition for places and we’ve done really well stopping the opposition from putting the ball in the back of the net.
“It’s important we just keep the points tally ticking over.”
