Dunfermline scored two second-half goals as they toppled 10-man Raith Rovers 2-0 at East End Park to claim their first win of the season in the William Hill Championship.

Raith were put on the back foot after just 15 minutes of the Fife Derby clash when Euan Murray brought down Chris Kane when he was through on goal. The referee produced a red card and the visitors were a man down.

Rovers held out until the 52nd minute, when Ewan Otoo broke the deadlock with a left-footed strike from the edge of the area which found the back of the net via a heavy deflection.

David Wotherspoon then wrapped up the victory with Dunfermline’s second 10 minutes from time.
