Football rumours: Saudi Pro League clubs tracking Liverpool star Mohamed Salah

What the papers say

Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal are looking to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in time for next summer, the Mirror reports. The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and has been heavily linked to the Saudi Pro League in recent years. Last summer, then-champions Al-Ittihad had a £150million bid knocked back by Liverpool. The Egypt international has repeatedly hinted the 2024-25 season could mark his final in the Premier League.

The Daily Mail reports the Gunners made a “comparable” counter offer, but the Brazilian star was attracted to the “global position” offered by Marinakis.
