Forest Green returned to winning ways in the National League by beating Tamworth 3-0 at The New Lawn.

After three games without a victory, Steve Cotterill’s third-placed side scored all their goals in the first half to all-but end Tamworth’s play-off aspirations.

Kyle McAllister had an early effort cleared off the line but two goals inside three minutes put the home side in the driving seat.

Jordon Garrick fired into the bottom corner in the 29th minute and Charlie McCann added a second shortly afterwards before Jamie Robson’s composed finish four minutes before half-time.
