Inih Effiong fired a late equaliser as Dagenham & Redbridge grabbed a point in an eight-goal thriller against Eastleigh at Silverlake Stadium.

The Daggers looked good bets to repeat their crushing 4-1 win on Boxing Day when goals from Tom Eastman and Josh Rees put them 2-0 in front with 35 minutes on the clock.

But a brace from Paul McCallum before half-time and a Jayden Harris header four minutes after the restart swung the game in favour of the hosts.

Rees levelled on 56 but Eastleigh regained their lead when McCallum headed home to complete his hat-trick on 67 minutes, only for Effiong to hammer home from long range 10 minutes from time.
