Jack Stevens’ brace earns Solihull victory against Woking
Jack Stevens scored twice as Solihull came from behind to claim a 2-1 win against Woking at Damson Park.
The visitors had taken an eighth-minute lead when Harry Beautyman slotted home from a free-kick, but were denied a second when Cian Harries had a penalty saved in the 31st minute.
Seven minutes later, Woking striker Charley Kendall – who was not on the pitch but warming up – was sent off, seemingly after putting his foot on the field while the ball was still in play.
It was all square at the break after Stevens coolly converted a penalty he had won in the 43rd minute.
He added another from Jamey Osborne’s cutback in the 82nd minute to seal three points, though Woking came within inches of a last-gasp leveller when Lewis Walker clipped a post in stoppage time.
