Solihull Moors clung on to their place in the National League play-off places thanks to a 1-0 win away at Boston.

Jamey Osborne struck for the visitors in the 17th minute, bending a wonderful strike into the top corner to give his team the lead.

Boston were in desperate need of points as they sought to make up ground in their bid to avoid relegation but the team placed 23rd in the league were dealt a blow when Jordan Richards was red carded for a foul on Osborne in stoppage time at the end of the first half.

Sam Bowen dragged wide for Solihull after the break as they sought a goal to make the game safe.

Boston ultimately slipped to a 14th defeat of the season to remain eight points adrift of safety as they seek to avoid an immediate return to the sixth tier.
