Josh Rees hit a hat-trick as Dagenham took their survival bid to the final day with a thumping 6-1 win over Altrincham.

Daggers skipper Rees started the rout when his long-range shot flew in off a post after only seven minutes.

Rees grabbed another with a neat finish and Harry Phipps headed the hosts into a 3-0 lead with less than half an hour gone.

Dion Pereira made it four from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time, Rees completed his treble with a cheeky backheel and Charlie Olson’s own goal made it six before Joe Nuttall’s late consolation.
