League leaders Stenhousemuir win again as Peterhead force draw at East Fife
Stenhousemuir registered a 12th successive victory as the cinch League Two leaders beat Stranraer 1-0 at home courtesy of a Kyle Girvan own goal.
The decisive moment came in the 28th minute when Girvan diverted Ross Meechan’s cut back into his own net.
Gary Naysmith’s side, who were reduced to 10 men in stoppage time by Nat Wedderburn’s sending-off, are now 16 points clear at the summit.
A late Scott Ross effort saw second-placed Peterhead earn a 2-2 draw at East Fife, battling back from two goals down.
After the first half saw Nathan Austin and Jonathan Page score for the hosts, and Peterhead’s Ross Shanks have a penalty saved by Allan Fleming, Jordon Brown reduced the deficit in the 56th minute.
Ross then ensured it ended honours even with a finish in the fourth minute of added time.
