Lenell John-Lewis continued his fine goalscoring form as a substitute to earn a 1-1 draw for York away at Woking.

The 35-year-old notched his fifth goal of the season – all coming from the bench – with eight minutes remaining when he slotted home a penalty after Dan Batty’s cross struck a Woking hand in the area.

The Minstermen were trailing in the 55th minute after Raheem Conte’s brilliant cross found Dan Moss at the far post to score his first ever goal for Woking.

York pushed for an equaliser with Tyrese Sinclair spurning a couple of chances before John-Lewis fired past Will Jaaskelainen into the bottom corner to earn a point for the third-placed visitors.
