Leyton Orient cruised to a 3-1 victory at Shrewsbury to seal a top-half finish in their first season back in League One.
The visitors made a fast start and opened the scoring after eight minutes when Daniel Agyei squared the ball across the box for Daniel Adu Adjei to tap in at the back post.
Orient doubled their advantage halfway through the first period. Ethan Galbraith went one-on-one with onrushing goalkeeper Marko Marosi before slotting into the bottom corner.
The O’s countered quickly from a Shrewsbury set piece early in the second half and Agyei went on a surging run, breaking into the box before firing home.
Shrewsbury pulled a goal back in the 76th minute. Elliott Bennett floated a cross to the near post where Dan Udoh rose highest to head in.
The hosts went close to a second late on when Jordan Shipley’s shot was parried by Sam Howes but only as far as Udoh, whose effort was kept out by another brilliant save by Howes.
