Relegation-threatened Maidenhead returned to winning ways with a much-needed 3-1 National League vitory over Tamworth at York Road.
Shawn McCoulsky opened the scoring for the hosts midway through the first half as he slotted Brendan Kiernan’s assist home at the near post for his 11th league goal of the season.
Former Harrogate and Walsall winger Kiernan doubled their advantage – seven minutes after the break – as he got the last touch following some good work from McCoulsky down the left.
Ben Milnes reduced the deficit for Tamworth with a powerful penalty 12 minutes from time after Callum Cockerill-Mollett was brought down.
But the home side restored their lead as substitute Joshua Johnson fired in his first goal for the Magpies at the death to seal maximum points.
