Nathan Jones casts a critical eye following Charlton’s home draw against Lincoln

Charlton manager Nathan Jones revealed after the 2-2 draw against Lincoln that he was questioning some decisions he made ahead of the game.
The Addicks were hoping to record a ninth successive League One home win but instead had to battle back after James Collins had struck twice before the 50-minute mark.
Charlton centre-back Macauley Gillesphey reduced the deficit in the 57th minute, with captain Greg Docherty restoring parity with 14 minutes remaining.
For long stages the hosts missed the attacking quality of Tyreece Campbell, who sat out the SE7 encounter due to a calf injury.
The Addicks are unbeaten in 13 matches at The Valley but their slim top-two hopes look over following Wrexham’s victory over Burton.
Jones said: “That’s a good point, in the end. We showed a lot of spirit in the last 30 minutes, no question, but before that we were a mile off.
“I take responsibility. The last two or three days we’ve been passive in so many decisions we’ve made and I won’t make that mistake again.
“It is an in-house thing. I’m looking at every decision that I’ve made since Tuesday night (that) has been passive.
“We have got to keep going – game in and game out. That’s all we’ve got to do.”
Jones substituted Tom McIntyre shortly after the Portsmouth loanee was turned by Collins for the frontman’s second goal of the match.
“Their keeper has made some good saves and they’ve had four shots the whole game,” added the Welsh boss.
“We have allowed them to score goals – the second is as bad as we’ve ever given away.”
Lincoln head coach Michael Skubala was positive despite seeing his side, safely ensconced in mid-table, relinquish their advantage despite Collins making it seven goals since his January switch from Derby.
Skubala said: “The changing room is perhaps a little bit flat because they are really good professionals and they tried really hard to get three points at a monster football club and an incredible atmosphere.
“When we analyse that there will be loads to take away and learn from, hopefully when we are 2-0 up at a big club in the future we can be a little stronger and get over the line.
“James took his goals terrifically well. He’s proven to be a great signing up to this point and had a big influence around the building. His two finishes were above the level. His second goal was complete class, from start to finish.
“It’s really easy to keep this group still motivated. They impress me every day. We are trying to build something here. This is part of us laying some really strong foundations.”
