Oldham held on for a 1-1 draw in their Vanarama National League clash at Halifax after the late sending off of substitute Otis Khan.

Khan was dismissed after collecting two bookings in quick succession leaving Latics, who had led through Mark Kitching earlier in the game, to negotiate the closing nine minutes with 10 men.

Kitching opened the scoring two minutes into the second half after former Halifax player Mike Fondop had gone close before the break.

Adam Senior levelled with a header on 62 minutes but Max Wright spurned a good chance to win it for the hosts as Oldham survived late pressure.
