Solihull Moors extended their unbeaten start to the season to five matches to move top of the National League with a 1-1 draw at home to Halifax.

A point was enough to take them above Barnet, who have a chance to regain the lead at Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday, but was ultimately disappointing having taken the lead.

Josh Kelly took his tally to three in the last three matches as he was picked out by Jamey Osbourne in space between Halifax’s defence to slot home.

But the hosts could not capitalise on their advantage and Jo Cummings, on his first start after joining from Boston in the summer, scored his maiden goal for the club with a header from a 65th-minute corner.
