Will Davies scored an 88th-minute penalty as Sutton struck twice in the last five minutes to snatch a 2-1 win at National League relegation battlers Fylde.

The hosts were on course for a win which would have left them in the bottom four on goal difference alone after Ethan Mitchell’s powerful left-footed strike in the 15th minute.

They spurned an opportunity to move further clear two minutes into the second half when Gavin Massey’s penalty was saved by Jack Sims after Tyler Roberts was brought down.

Sutton took full advantage as Josh Coley tapped in an equaliser in the 86th minute before Davies beat Ben Winterbottom from the spot moments later.
