Teddy Jenks scored the only goal of the game as Forest Green won 1-0 at Solihull Moors in the Vanarama National League.

Christian Doidge and Liam Sercombe both went close for the visitors in the opening stages before John Bostock fired a free-kick over for the hosts.

Solihull’s Joe Newton saw an effort tipped behind by Jed Ward as the game remained goalless at half-time.

Jenks put Forest Green ahead three minutes after the break with a low effort after being played in by Sercombe.

Solihull were awarded an excellent chance to equalise when Conor Wilkinson was fouled in the box midway through the second half but the former Walsall forward saw his spot-kick saved by Ward.
