Wycombe came from a goal down to beat Northampton 2-1 on Saturday.
The Cobblers led after only four minutes at Sixfields as Callum Morton slipped through Sam Hoskins who was taken down by Jack Grimmer. Hoskins picked himself up and made no mistake from the spot, sending Franco Ravizzoli the wrong way.
But Wycombe had made the better start and they responded quickly, levelling just seven minutes later.
Garath McCleary got in behind Northampton’s defence on the right and squared for Dan Udoh who could not miss.
Morton could not make the most of a couple of chances when found in good positions before Lee Burge saved well from Cameron Humphreys at the start of the second half.
But Burge was at fault for the goal that gave Wycombe the lead on 52 minutes as he fumbled a cross and dropped the ball on a plate for Richard Kone tap into an empty net.
Udoh made a mess of a one-on-one opportunity and Kone stabbed narrowly wide but it did not matter as Wycombe took all three points.
